Opfør Amagers første tagfarm i Ørestad Syd

En gruppe lokale ildsjæle arbejder for etablering af en tagfarm på et kommende parkeringshus i Ørestad Syd. ØsterGro, der driver deres ikoniske tagfarm på Østerbro, har vist interesse for at være med i projektet.

Projektet kræver dog, at parkeringshuset bygges med et aktivt tag, der understøtter tagfarmen og andre lokale aktiviteter. Det kræver både ressourcer og politisk prioritering.

Derfor har vi brug for din støtte og opbakning, og beder om din underskrift.

Jeg opfordrer medlemmerne af Københavns Borgerrepræsentation i dialog med By & Havn til: 

• At støtte etableringen af Amagers første tagfarm på det kommende parkeringshus ved Asger Jorns Allé og Robert Jacobsens Vej i Ørestad Syd.
• At sikre, at parkeringshuset bliver multifunktionelt, med aktivt tag med plads til tagfarmen, samt en restaurant, grønt byrum, og lokale aktiviteter på taget, i tråd med lokale beboeres vision om 'Asgers Have – Tagfarm i Ørestad' (link).

Denne tagfarm og aktive tag vil profilere København som grøn og innovativ by, løfte lokalområdet, og give beboerne indblik i drift af et økologisk landbrug på tætteste hold. 

Det vil også:

• Afspejle Københavns Kommunes mål fra Kommuneplan 19 om "at der etableres flere grønne tage, der kan understøtte regnvandshåndtering, CO2-optag, bistader, grøntsagsdyrkning, ophold, sociale arrangementer, husdyrhold, restauration og andet" (KP 19 s.55) (link)
• Understøtte visionen i lokalplan 398-2 Ørestad Syd (link), at Asger Jorns Allé vil blive til en handels- og aktivitetsgade hvor "områdets byliv koncentrere[s]" (s.136); og spiller sammen med eventuelt detailhandel som gaden har hårdt brug for (link).
• Være i tråd med protokolbemærkningen fra et flertal i Teknik- og Miljøudvalget, fra d. 20. april 2020, der støttede et aktivt tag på et andet af By & Havns parkeringshuse i Ørestad Syd (link); som ikke blev gennemført, men som fik stor lokale opbakning (link).

Kommunens ambitionen om at etablere en nærgenbrugstation i Ørestad Syd (link) giver også ekstra muligheder. Med en placering i samme parkeringshus som tagfarmen, kan bygningen blive et samlingspunkt for grønne aktiviteter, initiativer, og lokalt byliv.

Build Amager's first roof farm in Ørestad Syd

A group of local residents is working to establish a roof farm on a parking garage that will soon be built in Ørestad Syd, Copenhagen. ØsterGro, who run an iconic roof farm in the neighbourhood of Østerbro, has shown interest in participating in the project.

However, the project requires that the parking garage be built with an active roof that can support the roof farm and other local activities. This requires both resources and political prioritization.

We therefore need your backing and support, and ask for your signature.

I urge the members of Copenhagen Municipal Council, in dialog with By & Havn (CPH City and Port Development):

• To support the establishment of Amager's first roof farm on the parking garage planned for Asger Jorns Allé and Robert Jacobsens Vej in Ørestad Syd, Copenhagen.
• To ensure that the parking garage is built to be multifunctional, including an active roof with space for the roof farm, as well as a restaurant, green urban space, and place for local activities, in line with local residents' vision in 'Asgers Have - Roof Farm in Ørestad' (link).

This roof farm will strengthen Copenhagen’s image as a green and innovative city, lift the local area, and give residents a first-hand look into organic farming. It will also:

• Reflect Copenhagen Municipality’s goal, stated in 'Municipal Plan 19', to establish more green roofs "that can support rainwater management, CO2 uptake, bee hives, vegetable cultivation, accommodation, social events, animal husbandry, catering and more." (free translation from Municipal Plan 2019) (link)
• Support the vision in local plan 398-2 Ørestad Syd (link) of Asger Jorns Allé as the local main street, where city life and commercial activity is concentrated; and complement future local shops and retailers, whose presence along the street is sorely needed (link).
• Be in line with the remarks from a majority of 'Teknik- og Miljøudvalget' of Copenhagen Municipal Council, from 20 April 2020, that expressed support for an active roof on another of By & Havn's parking garages in Ørestad Syd (link); which was not implemented, but which received great local support (link).

The municipality's aim to establish a local recycling station in Ørestad South (link) also provides added potential. Placing the station in the same parking garage as the roof farm would help make the building a hub for green activities, initiatives, and local city life.
