Vi støtter forslaget om oprettelse af en danse- og dramapædagogisk uddannelse i Holstebro i stedet for udflytning af de eksisterende danseuddannelser fra København.
Undertegnede, som er engageret i den professionelle scenekunst i Danmark, tilkendegiver hermed vores støtte til det forslag om oprettelse af en danse- og dramapædagogisk uddannelse i Holstebro, som en bredt sammensat kreds fra den danske scenekunstbranche har fremsat. Den foreslåede uddannelse vil udbedre en væsentlig mangel i det samlede uddannelsesudbud i Danmark og styrke børn og unges mulighed for at lære om og med dans og drama. Det vil også betyde en udbygning af kulturlivets infrastruktur på landsplan. Tilrettelæggelsen af en sådan uddannelse skal selvfølgelig ske i dialog med relevante fagpersoner.
Vi opfordrer dermed også politikerne bag den indgåede aftale til at genoverveje og ændre beslutningen om udflytning til Holstebro af 30 pladser fra Den Danske Scenekunstskole med hovedvægt på Danseuddannelserne. Vedtagelsen af denne del af uddannelsesaftalen finder vi meget bekymrende. Ikke alene er den taget uden den nødvendige inddragelse af kunst- og kulturfaglig ekspertise fra relevante instanser, inkl. de kulturpolitiske ordførere.
En udflytning i denne størrelsesorden vil desuden betyde, at de velfungerende uddannelser i hhv. Dans og Koreografi (BA siden 2017), Dance and Participation (kandidat siden 2020) og Koreografi (kandidat siden 2020) risikerer at miste deres akkreditering. Ligeledes vil det splitte uddannelsesinstitutionen DDSKS København på et tidspunkt, hvor det netop er lykkedes at samle den. Det er uundgåeligt, at beslutningen vil svække det givende tværdisciplinære samarbejde, som er blevet opbygget internt på skolen lige såvel som mellem uddannelserne på Holmen og med andre universitetsuddannelser i København.

Letter of support for the establishment of an education in dance and drama pedagogy in Holstebro instead of moving the existing dance educations from Holmen.
We, the undersigned, who are engaged in the field of professional performing arts in Denmark, wish to state our support of the suggestion to establish an education in dance and drama pedagogy in Holstebro forwarded by a broad coalition from the field of performing arts in Denmark. The suggested education will remedy a lack in the landscape of educations in Denmark and strengthen the possibility for children to learn about and with dance and drama. It will also constitute an important contribution to the infrastructure of culture in Denmark as a whole. The details of such an education should of course be planned in dialogue with experts in the field.
We hereby also encourage the politicians behind the agreement to reconsider and retract the decision to relocate 30 places from The National School of Performing Arts (mainly the Dance educations) from Copenhagen to Holstebro. We find this part of the agreement deeply concerning. Not only has the decision been taken without the required involvement of expertise from the field of arts and culture, including the cultural politicians.
The transferral of this number of places also entails the risk of disqualifying the accreditation of the well-functioning educations in resp. Dance and Choreography (BA since 2017), Dance and Participation (MfA since 2020) and Choreography (MfA since 2020). It will furthermore divide the institution of The National School of Performing Arts at a point in time when it has finally consolidated. It is inevitable that the decision will weaken the rich interdisciplinary collaboration that has been built internally in the school, between the art educations at Holmen as well as with university programs in Copenhagen at large.
